Bible Storying Conference, Day 4

One example of an answered prayer during this ten-day training for 40 participants in the Mbandaka region of the DRC: “One older woman who is well known by one of our facilitators shared the story for her group. He had never really heard her speak before. He has worked with her often and said that normally she is quiet and timid. Today she hit the ball out of the park as a story teller.”

Report and prayer requests sent last night from one of the project’s leaders: “Day three of the eight-language Orality and Bible Storying project in Mbandaka has come to an end. It was hard in light of the tragic events that happened yesterday that took the lives of one dear missionary couple and injured others. Today it was wonderful hearing the story of Jesus Calms the Storm in the eight heart languages of the 40 participants, including two Pygmy languages. Pray for this project, and pray for those working out all the details related to the deaths and injuries of those in the car crash.”
